Click here for the 2026 front cover image And The Sheep is Crowned King by Kim De Paolis (Oil on canvas 85 x 61cm). Kim paints on cardboard, canvas and textiles, and reimagines traditional childhood games through filmed performance. Her work responds to research into the history of the English countryside and its representation in fine art, with a particular interest in the role of sheep. An alumni of the Turps East Sussex fine art mentoring programme, Kim is showing work alongside ten of her fellow alumni during Artwave 2026. Kim is exhibiting at Glynde Social Club, venue 26 on the Rural Trail.
