Artwave is the annual festival of artists and makers in the Lewes District. Every year hundreds of creatives exhibit in Lewes, Seaford, Newhaven and the surrounding villages.
The event gives art lovers the chance to discover new work, meet artists and makers, and buy directly from them. Follow the trails and enjoy the diverse range of work on show including jewellery, painting, sculpture, printmaking, textiles, ceramics, metalwork and photography. Support your local artists and makers, whilst exploring this creative part of Sussex. Add the dates to your diary now.

Youth Open Call
Continuing in our mission to make the arts accessible to all, Artwave welcomes a new generation of young creatives this year, with 20 venues featuring work by artists aged under 25. Priory School exhibit at Lewes Town Hall, the second ‘Wonderfully Surreal’ Student’s Exhibition from the Farley Arts Trust will be at Newhaven’s Marine Workshops, as will a Young Makers Market.
Artists aged 14-25 are invited to join the Emerging Sussex Open Call, organised by Hospitable Environment and Talent Accelerator, and taking place in the panoramic BN9 Studio on Newhaven’s riverside. Visit hospitable-environment.com for more information, and by 22nd August to sign up.
